It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas....

During this time of the year I always take a small break from blogging in order to focus on family. Life gets a bit more hectic and stressful so sometimes a break is needed to focus on what's really important and feel refreshed. I will be back after the New Year for more reviews so make sure you check back then. Hope you have a wonderful Christmas and Happy New Year! <3

November Ipsy Glam Bag: Tarte, Skyn Iceland, Naked Cosmetics and More!

A few weeks ago I received my November Ipsy Glam Bag and today I’m writing my reviews on the products I received. Some of the items I have tried before but there were also products that I hadn’t tried so I was excited to test them out. I was also excited for this month’s bag because it looked gorgeous. To see what products I received in my bag and my thoughts on them then just keep on reading…

L'Oreal Voluminous Lash Paradise Mascara Review

My absolute favorite mascara is Maybelline’s Classic Volum’ Express mascara and the last time I went to purchase it, it wasn’t in the store. So I decided I would try out this L’Oreal mascara since it’s been getting a lot of hype. I know a lot of people talk about how this mascara is a dupe for the Too Faced Better Then Sex mascara but I’ve never tried that mascara so I can’t comment on that. I had heard the Too Faced mascara can look clumpy but that this L’Oreal one added volume without the clumps so I was interested in trying it out. I was essentially comparing it to the Maybelline one to see if it would be better or worse. While this L’Oreal mascara does have some nice qualities, I found myself feeling completely underwhelmed by this product…

L'Oreal Detox and Brighten Pure-Clay Mask Review

Recently I was out looking for a new face mask to try out because I wanted a mask that would help with breakouts and make my skin feel clean. I have tried the GLAMGLOW SUPERMUD Clearing Treatment in the past and really liked it but it’s quite expensive. I wanted something similar to that but at a more affordable price point. I knew that charcoal is good for what I wanted, and I didn’t have problems with the GLAMGLOW mask, but I had tried a cheaper charcoal mask that was too harsh and made my skin red. I was weary about trying another cheap charcoal mask for fear it would be the same. However, I came across this L’Oreal mask and I remember when it came out I really wanted to try it. So I decided to just go ahead and try it and see if it would act like the other cheaper charcoal mask. Well, luckily, it didn’t…

My October Ipsy Glam Bag: Urban Decay, Hey Honey, Dirty Little Secret and More!

It’s that time again! I was a little skeptical for my October Glam Bag because my last bag had some hits and misses. Plus, I didn’t want a bag that would have ghost and witches on it in celebration of Halloween. I just didn’t know what to expect…but I guess that’s also the fun with being subscribed to Ipsy in the first place; the surprise of the new bag designs as well as trying out new products and brands that I may not have thought to try out on my own. Well, I was in fact pleasantly surprised with my bag and the products that I received. To see what they were and if perhaps you should try them out as well then just keep on reading…

COVER FX Perfect Setting Powder Review

For a little while now I have been on the hunt for a good setting powder. I had tried a powder by Sonia Kashuk but did not like it at all (you can read about it HERE). So when I was in Sephora one day and waiting in line I saw this small size COVER FX Perfect Setting Powder and decided to just give it a try. I want a translucent setting powder with a hint of (yellow) color to it that sinks into the skin to look natural and doesn’t let oil seep through to break up my makeup. This seemed like it would be a good choice to try, but was it? Click inside to find out how this powder worked for me…

Maybelline Master Conceal Camouflaging Concealer

A little while ago I ran out of my concealer that I’d been using for a while (Maybelline Fit me) so I went to the store to pick another one up. However, the store was completely out of my color and so, instead of going to another store, I decided to look around and see if there was something else to try. I quickly spotted this concealer and decided to go ahead and purchase it. This concealer claims to be “full-coverage and high-resistance” and “camouflages imperfections and dark circles.” Sounded exactly what I was looking for…

Manefit Lily Whitening + Brightening Sheet Mask Review

As I mentioned last week, in last month’s Ipsy Glam Bag I received two sheet masks, one for pore care and the other for brightening. Last week I reviewed the pore care mask, click HERE, and today I’m reviewing the brightening mask. Apparently, “this is the perfect mask for brightening uneven skin tone. Formulated with lily extracts and niacinamide, this mask nixes pigmentation and brightens your overall complexion, improving skin clarity. After using, your skin will feel instantly nourished with noticeably brighter, softer, and smoother results.” This definitely sounded right up my alley so I was excited to give it try. Keep on reading to find out my results…

Manefit Mugwort Astringent + Pore Care Sheet Mask Review

In last month’s Ipsy Glam Bag (click HERE) I received two sheet masks so I decided to do a separate post on each. They are both from the brand Manefit and one is for pore care, while the other is for brightening. Today I am reviewing the mask for pore care. This mask is “a microfiber sheet mask that clears your pores as well as hydrates, the sheet mask helps you achieve radiant skin using salicylic acid from Mugwort Extract to gently exfoliate and clear pores while soothing sensitive skin. This soft, highly flexible, natural cellulose sheet mask improves skin tone and clarity with Mugwort Extract, Houttuynia Cordata Extract, and Centella Asiatica Extract while imparting deep hydration.” Certainly sounds promising….click inside to find out my thoughts.

My September Ipsy Glam Bag: Smashbox, Luxie, Elizabeth Mott and More!

Another month, another Ipsy Glam Bag review. When I saw what I was receiving this month I was super excited. Some of the brands I have heard of and others I hadn’t. Luckily all of these items were new to me and nothing I had already tried before. While some of them exceeded my expectations, some of them sadly did not. To see my other Ipsy Glam Bag reviews you can click HERE, but to see what I received this month and my thoughts on each product just keep on reading…
