A little while ago I ran out of my concealer that I’d been using for a while (Maybelline Fit me) so I went to the store to pick another one up. However, the store was completely out of my color and so, instead of going to another store, I decided to look around and see if there was something else to try. I quickly spotted this concealer and decided to go ahead and purchase it. This concealer claims to be “full-coverage and high-resistance” and “camouflages imperfections and dark circles.” Sounded exactly what I was looking for…

As I mentioned last week, in last month’s Ipsy Glam Bag I received two sheet masks, one for pore care and the other for brightening. Last week I reviewed the pore care mask, click HERE, and today I’m reviewing the brightening mask. Apparently, “this is the perfect mask for brightening uneven skin tone. Formulated with lily extracts and niacinamide, this mask nixes pigmentation and brightens your overall complexion, improving skin clarity. After using, your skin will feel instantly nourished with noticeably brighter, softer, and smoother results.” This definitely sounded right up my alley so I was excited to give it try. Keep on reading to find out my results…

In last month’s Ipsy Glam Bag (click HERE) I received two sheet masks so I decided to do a separate post on each. They are both from the brand Manefit and one is for pore care, while the other is for brightening. Today I am reviewing the mask for pore care. This mask is “a microfiber sheet mask that clears your pores as well as hydrates, the sheet mask helps you achieve radiant skin using salicylic acid from Mugwort Extract to gently exfoliate and clear pores while soothing sensitive skin. This soft, highly flexible, natural cellulose sheet mask improves skin tone and clarity with Mugwort Extract, Houttuynia Cordata Extract, and Centella Asiatica Extract while imparting deep hydration.” Certainly sounds promising….click inside to find out my thoughts.

So, I don’t have very oily skin, but sometimes I find that depending on the makeup and skincare I use, my skin can look oily and my makeup starts to breakup at the end of the day. I know that certain ingredients don’t mix well together but I like to try new products and, quite honestly, am too lazy to check ingredients. I thought maybe I could try a setting spray that helps control oil and see if that would help. I’ve heard good reviews of the Urban Decay setting sprays so I thought I’d get the travel size of their De-Slick Makeup Setting Spray and try it out. I’ve tried their All-Nighter Makeup Setting Spray in the past and wasn’t blown away by it but I thought maybe this one would be different.

In my Ipsy bag last month I received two of the CLIV Max Hyaluronic Mask sheets so I decided to do a separate post. To see what else I received in my Ipsy bag you can click HERE. This mask is “infused with 50% Hyaluronic Acid, Witch Hazel Extract and patented ingredient “Stem Vector” that distributes moisture deep into the skin, providing ample hydration and a smoother texture. Its ECOCERT sheet fabric helps the skin to fully absorb the mask’s antioxidant properties for a clear complexion.” It sounded like an excellent mask and I was super excited to try it. I have never heard of this brand or this product so I had no idea what to expect.

A little late but I am finally posting my August Ipsy Glam Bag review. Last month’s bag had some definite winners and even losers. In this bag I was able to try all new products, and all but one brand I hadn’t even heard of. It’s nice to try products from brands you’re familiar with but it’s also really exciting to try products from brands that you know nothing about. To see what I’ve tried so far from my Glam Bags then click HERE. Otherwise to see what some of the hits, along with major misses, came in my bag for August then just keep on reading…

Recently I’ve been on the lookout for a new setting powder. I prefer loose powders because, even though they can be messy, I feel like I get more uses out of them. I hate when I hit pan on a pressed powder because then I feel like I can’t get enough product since it’s missing in the middle so I just end up throwing it away. I also prefer a translucent powder but I don’t want it to be white. I like it to have a little color to it. One that I had been using and really liking for a while was the L’Oréal Hydra Perfecte powder but I felt it looked a little too pink for my skin; even though it’s “translucent” it does have a slightly pink tone to it. I came across this Sonia Kashuk Undetectable Loose Powder in Light and, even though it’s not translucent, the color looked good so I thought I’d try it out.

Last month when I received my Ipsy Glam Bag there were two Tony Moly sheet masks inside that I had never tried before. I decided to do separate review posts on each mask instead of including them in my Ipsy review post. You can check out last week’s Tony Moly Green Tea mask review by clicking HERE. For today’s post I’m reviewing the other mask I received which is the Lotus sheet mask that is meant for illuminating. In the past I’ve tried a few of Tony Moly’s illuminating masks and while some were good, others were not, so I was very curious to see how well this one would perform.

A few weeks ago I received my July Ipsy bag and inside was two Tony Moly sheet masks (along with other goodies of course). Instead of including the masks in my other post about my Glam Bag, which you can check out by clicking HERE, I decided to do two posts just dedicated to the masks themselves. I have tried a LOT of the Tony Moly sheet masks but have never tried these two so I was really excited. Today’s mask is meant for “Skin Purifying” which always sounds appealing to me. I really like my skin to feel clean and refreshed; and if you do too then keep on reading to see how this mask performed.
